I am really falling behind on our blog! I've discovered Facebook and it seems to be taking away from my blogging time. Oh well. Anyway, Thanksgiving was nice as usual. The day before I was invited to go to Mackenzie's Charlie Brown Thanksgiving in her kdg class. Cam came, too, and he thought he was just one of the big kids eating snacks and doing crafts.

The real Turkey Day was out at Joy and Randy's. Yummy food and Chris was there on leave from his Marine stint in Iraq, so it was great to see him safely home. He goes back sometime after the first of the year, so keep him in your prayers.

The grandparents kept the kiddos overnight so Jason and I could do some major Black Friday damage the next day, and damage we did do! We got just about all of our shopping done on that day, with some great deals to boot. I've done the rest of my shopping online, and I am done! Now it's just on to wrapping and waiting for a few deliveries.

Back to the holiday - Saturday was over at my parents' house where we had another Thanksgiving meal since Thanksgiving is now an inlaw holiday for my family. It too was yummy. Mackenzie got some bday gifts, including her first American Girl Doll. With a matching outfit for Mackenzie - super cute. She wasn't feeling well, but she managed to stay up late and play Playdoh with everyone in her new dress with her new 'daughter' whose name has changed a few times.

We decorated the house the next weekend and got our tree - a live one that's a little lopsided - and now it's on to Christmas! Jason spent some time hanging lights outside and putting up my mini lighted trees (they so cute).

We got it all done in time for Mackenzie's recital this past Saturday. She takes jazz and the program was a Christmas show benefiting Cops for Kids. Everyone came over after for ice cream. (I should have served coffee - I always forget - sorry grandparents!). Mackenzie was adorable and the show was great. There are some really talented dancers at her studio - one high school senior even danced The Nutcracker. Busy, busy, busy (a line I like to quote from Frosty). What a great time of the year this is!!!
