Smarty Pants

So, Cameron is a genius. He's still not talking, but he knows what sound every letter makes! He's going to be reading by age 2!!! Ok, so maybe I'm overreacting, but I think that's pretty impressive. And while I'd love to take all of the credit, I have to admit that it was a video that taught him. His afternoon video now changes daily from anything Barney (he's sure not learning anything from that - ie being polite, good manners, etc!) and a Leap Frog video that Mackenzie also loved - The Letter Factory. It's amazing what children can sometimes pick up. I thought he just really loved the cartoon characters - not that he was actually watching intently enough to be learning, too.

And just a few cute pictures, because who doesn't like a cute picture? Oh, and a cute Mackenzie thingy - we're having a yard sale this weekend, so she decides to raid the garage golf ball supply and somehow got her hands on price stickers and a pen (Jason...). I'm setting up and discover a few golf balls marked at $4 a piece. ALL DAY she kept asking if anyone had bought the golf balls yet - I put them back in the golf ball bucket while she was in school and just told her that some very good golfer must have purchased them ;) And speaking of school, I totally forgot that today was show and tell day while I was 'working' the yard sale. So when Mackenzie got home she reminded me of the fact that it was show and tell day and she didn't have anything to show, but said, "It's ok, Mommy, because I just told a poem." And she proceeds to tell me this poem that she made up on the spot, and it even rhymes! Ok, so both of my children are geniuses :)
