Well, we did it. We paid our first real babysitter. Mackenzie's 'best' friend Shannon has two older sisters, and they just live around the block, so we figured tonight would be a good chance to try one of them out. We were only out for a few hours, she only had to put Cameron to bed (which he never minds) and we were home by 8:30pm. I was a little nervous - we never know how the Cam man is going to behave - but everything went really well and I'm sure we'll be calling her again. How lucky are we that this great girl (who's 21 and past the teenage stage) landed in our laps??? Plus, she's got a 15 year old sister for backup :) Of course we'll always call family first, but this is such a great convenience for us.
Unfortunately the reason we had to get a sitter is because my Uncle Bub is in the hospital after heart failure. He's getting a pace maker tomorrow, so I wanted to see him before the surgery. Please keep him in your prayers.
