Doctor's Orders

Well, I've figured out why my activity is 'restricted.' I've been feeling better, relatively speaking, so of course I've been doing more. Our kitchen is functioning (yea!) so not only have I been cooking rather than phoning in an order or microwaving, but I've also been cleaning and putting things away. This weekend we were also pretty busy (in spurts), so I pushed myself then, too. Tonight I'm experiencing more Braxton - Hicks contractions as well as lots of heart palpitations. Hmmm, I wonder why. It's just so hard to follow doctor's orders when there's so much to do and I've been laying on my rear for what seems like forever! Not only that, but now the weight gain is becoming very noticeable since I haven't had too much real activity to offset the late night cravings (which have been Ramen Cup of Noodles lately. Healthy, I know). At least I can resume what ever I can manage when I hit the 34 week mark... It's just that you can't really get a lot done in ten minutes with a two year old who is desperate for a playmate. I am managing my time much better, though (especially since I don't have to/can't do any of my normal chores!).

On the plus side, this little guy has stopped kicking so much and is now rolling. It's the weirdest sensation - kind like your tongue moving on the inside of your cheek - only way weirder. But, for some reason, the movements now seem more baby like. He still gets into my back - very painful - but I love watching my belly 'roll' from side to side.

Our shower is this weekend, so I'll be sure to post some pictures after. I'm very excited. I just wanted to get together with some friends (and some other new babies!) and family and see everyone else's excitement over this new little guy, too! From what I can tell, the shower is going to be the perfect way to do it. And the invites were so cute! Sommer made them herself, and I think they're adorable. I guess I better get started on a scrapbook for our new arrival since I have a bunch of stuff piling up and I know I won't have much time once he gets here!
