And Yet Another Symptom...

Last night was my first taste of Braxton Hicks contractions. Very uncomfortable, but nothing to worry about. I guess they're more common in pregnancy #2 and beyond than in the first one, which could be why I didn't get them while I was pregnant with Mackenzie. They seemed to last forever, so I drank lots and lots of H2O ( a 'cure' I found on the internet) and laid on the couch, and they went away. But of course, then baby decided he wanted to wedge himself into my rib cage/back, resulting in what felt like a terrible bruise on my lower ribs. The strange part was that as soon as he moved (after what seemed like forever), my 'bruise' went away! He's such a stinker!

Speaking of which, I had my 24 week appt today, which went great, but this little guy was moving so much (what's new?) that the doctor could only get a heartbeat for few seconds at a time before he had changed positions. It was still a strong one, though, ranging from 145-152 bpm. In four weeks I'll have my glucose screening, and then it's on to appointments every two weeks!
