The Great Outdoors

Our first camping trip as a family - alone - was awesome. The kids couldn't get enough of the wilderness, the dog had a great time with all of the freedom, and Jason and I got to sit out by the campfire late night just the two of us. We played at the river, made hobo pies (the pizza ones were a big hit) and went geocaching. It was a great trip and we're really looking forward to camping with the rest of the family later this summer. And, four hours driving up north is WAY better than the 24 it took us to get to FL - just another reminder that we will never be driving to FL again. I guess that trip was traumatic enough that I'll be comparing every road trip to it for awhile!
