Mackenzie had her first field trip and I was a chaperone. I have no idea why. No, I do know - my daughter wanted me there and I really like spending time with her and her classmates. Plus, I know the teacher appreciates my help. But I'm already in the classroom once a week, I volunteer for any and every opportunity to be in the classroom more often, and I participate in just about every school function. I did not need to show more support! That bus ride (with 50 kindergartners and no circulation) was terrible!!! How could I have forgotten what that's like? Maybe next time I'll just drive myself :)
