This year we had to move Easter to Saturday so that Christie and Mike could be with Mike's family on Sunday. Sooooo.... we had an Easter Egg hunt at Petey's house and then moved the party over to mom and dad's for our family dinner. We even ended the night with a game of Uno that Mackenzie won! It's so great that we can keep them up and out later for holidays and special occasions. A newborn can go with you anywhere, but once they start realizing that there's a party going on and they have to go to bed it gets much harder to ever have a late night. Now, though, they can both make it pretty late without getting crabby. We may pay for it the next morning, but we're tough!
On Sunday we had my parents and Jason's parents over for Easter dinner #2. The kids had a great time with two sets of grandparents to dote on them! After our meal the menfolk worked on the new swing set while the women and children went for an Easter walk and played on the playground for awhile. It was a very nice weekend.
