Believe

The other night, after reading all ten library books (we get them and then Mackenzie has to read all of them right away), Mackenzie posed an interesting question: "Mommy, what do you believe in?" Well, that totally took me off guard - why in the world would a five year old already want to know my beliefs? So, I took a minute and responded, "God." "No Mommy, what do you really believe in?" Ok, so my second answer was Love before I wised up and asked her what she believed in. "Of course mermaids and fairies." was her reply. Just like a grown up to put way more into a question, huh? She also believes in Jesus, and leprechauns and ghosts and Santa, in case you were wondering :)
