Well, the first day was terrible. She hated it (except for lunch) and didn't want to go back. Jazz class that night was no different, and we had a major struggle getting out the door, and then getting into the jazz room.
Day two was a little better. Although she informed me that she didn't sleep at all the night before and probably shouldn't go to school, a full breakfast was eaten. There were tears just as the teacher was opening the door (hers - mine came a little later on day #2). But on the way home it was all about her new friends and how nap time went better, etc.
Day three started out with a terrible tummy ache, but at pick up I got to hear how fun school was! And tomorrow is Fun Friday, I was told, which, according to Mackenzie, she doesn't know what it means, but it's got to be something good! Yea! As much as I still want her to need me and to not want to be away from me for so long, I'm so glad that it looks like the adjustment period is going to be shorter than we thought.
