Today was Aunt Christie's shower and Mackenzie had a great time. She was a great help, loved sitting at the head table, and even sort of posed for a few pics. Good practice for the wedding! Christie and Mike received a lot of really great gifts, like the silver platters and bowls that my mom and I got for them :) They also got a bunch of other stuff that they really wanted, and they have another shower next weekend! I think I'm due for another shower. It has been almost 6 years since my last one. When does you second shower roll around?
Anyway, I loved the dress Mackenzie wore to the shower - Christie and I picked it out and Grandma Eberhardt bought it for her, but I couldn't convince her to wear it - there's no pink in it. I finally got her to try it on this morning, and she shouted, "I love it!" So, it's now the dress she wants to wear everyday and that she's picked for the first day of school. She's such a fashionista and a great shopper. She and I spent the better part of Saturday at the mall looking for a new outfit for me and a new pair of shoe for her. We came home with lots more than that :) Jason's in trouble...
