Nine Months

Cameron had his 9 month check up last week and he's getting big! He weighs in at 20lbs 10oz and measures 28in. Not too much new on the developmental front, but the doc reassures me that it takes some babies longer than others to get moving, and some never even crawl at all. He lunges for things out of his reach, and occasionally topples over (and cries), but that's it from a sitting position. When he's on his tummy he wants to move (I think), but has only managed to scoot himself backwards. Oh well.

He's increasingly chatty, and likes his voice heard all the time - the louder the place the louder he is! The funny thing is that he mostly reserves his 'conversations' only for when I'm around. Jason insists that when he takes him places without me (doesn't happen too often, but has happened), he's quiet as a mouse. Hmmm.

Mackenzie is a bigger and bigger source of entertainment for him. She had him going by saying, "Ten Dollars!" in the car for about 30 minutes the other day. He thinks everything she says and does is hilarious. But, he does make her keep her distance and now pushes her away when she gives him a special 'Mackenzie hug' (ie too tight, too close, and too long!).
