I just thought I'd share this because it really made my day yesterday:
We decided to walk up to Baskin Robbins yesterday after dinner. It had been raining all day but Jason checked his handy dandy radar website and decided that we'd be ok on our hour or so excursion. So, we went and got ice cream and just when we were leaving it started getting darker out (from the clouds).
We put Mackenzie in the stroller with Cameron and started walking faster. Then Cameron started crying so Jason decided to carry him. We were about two blocks from our house when the rain started. We covered Cameron with a blanket and started walking as fast as we could (you can't run with a double stroller!). When I got to our street (I was a little ahead of Jason) a car turned down with a couple in it and they slowed down next to us and asked if we needed a ride somewhere because they saw Jason with the baby. Of course we didn't because we live two houses off the corner, and we didn't mind the rain, anyway, but I thought that was so nice. How many people do you know that would stop and ask a family of four if they could use a ride to get out of the rain? Would you? It really touched me and made me want to raise children that will be that kind as adults. Hopefully Jason and I lead by a good enough example that they will.
