Snuggle Bug

Well, in a month's time a lot has happened with this little guy (relatively speaking). On Sunday Cameron turned three months old and now seems ready to face the world :) He's at 15lbs., has been to Disney World, and holds his head up like a champ. He got a taste of the Bumbo seat the other day (a really cool chair for infants that lets them sit up) and now always wants to be upright. Luckily he's getting one for Christmas. He also loves tummy time, smiling, yelling (he's got quite a set of lungs on him - must be from my side of the family), holding toys, and studying his hands. Cameron is also a snuggle bug and loves his mommy. It's great.

He doesn't like being hot (we found that out at Disney), loud noises, passing gas (it makes him cry - and us too - this kid can clear a room!), or being in his carseat. It's kinda cool to see how alike and yet how different one baby can be from the next, even at this young of an age - when Mackenzie was this young she also hated being hot, but she loved her carseat, didn't mind loud noises, and hated tummy time.

We're getting out more and more and may even join back up with our playgroup and our church one of these days. I know this sounds terrible, but going out seems like so much work sometimes that I'd just rather not do it. Plus, this kid is so heavy that if I'm going someplace where I can't take the stroller or Jason (haha), I dread it because dealing with carrying the car seat, and then the baby (since once we get in somewhere and he wakes up he wants out of the carseat), and then finding somewhere to put him down if I need to, and then having a three year old on top of all of that is a lot of work! If you don't have kids, or don't have more than one, doesn't that sound like a lot of work??? I'm sure that for those of you who are veterans at this it seems like a piece of cake. I feel like by the time I'm a veteran, my 'piece of cake' is going to be the size of a six layer wedding cake!

I have a feeling that last part doesn't make any sense. But to put it in perspective, I left my keys in the unlocked car today and then when we got back to the car I searched through my purse in the cold parking lot with both kids for about 15 minutes before I thought to check in the car. I left my credit card in about 4 different places when we were in FL and cashiers had to chase me down to give it back. Most of what I do lately doesn't sense. I wonder if you ever go back to normal?
