Getting ready for baby

We went for a playdate today at the house of a friend who just had a baby. Little Jenna is only 2 weeks old (and adorable!), and when I saw her, it hit me that we're going to have one of those in 4 weeks, give or take one or two weeks (so he could be here in 2 weeks! Aghhhh!). She looked so tiny, but she was the same size Mackenzie was when she was born. Now I'm starting to think - will it all come back to me? Or, am I going to have to pull out my "What to Expect the First Year" and learn it all over again? And, are we really ready? Have we prepared Mackenzie enough? Have we prepared ourselves enough? What is the diaper bag going to look like when I'm packing for two? Am I going to need to bring the full size suitcase along with us where ever we go? (Ok, part of that is just my personality and my need to always be (over) prepared - Mackenzie is never without anything (sunblock, bugspray, snacks, sippy cup, extra outfit, coloring book and crayons, etc.), anywhere we go, unless Daddy has packed or my preggo brain has gotten the best of me).

Not only have the 'what ifs' started, but according to Jason, I've begun nesting. I can't do a lot without my back and hip starting to really hurt, but I've sure been barking out the orders to him! Remember how we're still in the middle of a kitchen remodeling project? This past week/weekend I had him rearrange our bedroom furniture (in case we get a bassinet, so we have room for it in there), hang a new towel bar in the bathroom (so there's a place to hang the baby's towel), hang new curtains in the baby's room and temporary ones in our room (when I tried to open the miniblinds they fell on my head so I threw them away), and lots of other little projects. I think he'll be glad when the baby gets here if for no other reason than he'll be getting a break on household projects!
